About The Position

Be the bridge between potential and opportunity—support individuals with disabilities in achieving workplace success. Our Job Coach will be integral in teaching students/clients how to perform a job, including, how to integrate into the job setting, appropriate social skills for the setting and specific job tasks. At TES, you will be a part of the solution, helping us achieve goals which allow all our clients to learn and thrive.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience or knowledge supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Flexible schedule including some weekends
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license + auto insurance (per requirements)
  • Willingness and ability to transport clients
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Pass background checks (BCI/FBI), controlled substance test & TB Test

  • Regular use of a second language in your role

Responsibilities

  • Coach and support a small group of students/clients at worksites
  • Assist with transportation to and from job locations
  • Teach job-related tasks and positive workplace social skills
  • Collect onsite skills and behavior data
  • Stand for extended periods and work both indoors/outdoors as needed
  • Create job task analyses to support learning and success
  • Be proactive and have a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Be an appropriate role model
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment while being flexible and embracing change
  • Demonstrate emotional maturity and responsibility
  • Innovate and act as an entrepreneurial self-starter
