About The Position

Rapt Studio is seeking a Job Captain with a background in Interior Design/Architecture. This role involves working on multiple projects of varying types and scales, with a focus on both design and detail. Project Designers are central to the studio's work and have the potential for rapid growth within the creative process. The ideal candidate will be a strong conceptual thinker, visualizer, and designer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 4-8+ years of experience working at an architecture or design studio
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with project management, construction administration, budget review, building codes, consultant coordination, and client relations
  • Ability to develop construction documents for review
  • Ability to work with furniture vendors to manage process and deliveries
  • Proficiency and interest in 3D visualization
  • Must be local to San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York studio and available to work onsite regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple projects of varying types and scales.

  • Contribute to the studio's creative process and output.
  • Develop construction documents for review.
  • Work with furniture vendors to manage process and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with project teams from concept design through construction.
  • Manage project management tasks, construction administration, budget review, building codes, consultant coordination, and client relations.
