About The Position

Our client is a well-established, award-winning architecture, planning, and interiors firm with decades of experience and multiple offices across California and beyond. In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of senior team members and take ownership of key technical aspects of major residential projects—or several smaller ones—from late design through construction, helping to investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that best meet client needs. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at their Pleasanton office.

  • Proven experience producing comprehensive construction drawing sets from start to finish.
  • Strong skills in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM; experience with Adobe Design/Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience working in the construction phase of projects (e.g., CA, RFIs, submittals, coordination with consultants).
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a coordinated project team.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, independent thinking, strong listening skills, and reliable follow‑through.
  • Strong graphic, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide clear direction to architectural staff.
  • 3+ years of professional architectural experience, including at least 1 year serving as a Job Captain.
  • Professional architectural degree from a NAAB‑accredited 4‑ or 5‑year program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, ideally including progress toward architectural licensure.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
