About The Position

The Job Captain serves as a key bridge between design, project management, consultants, and production staff. The role is responsible for transforming design concepts into accurate construction documents, coordinating project documentation, ensuring code compliance, maintaining quality standards, and supporting construction activities through project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of architectural experience.
  • Experience with project coordination and documentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Working knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.
  • Strong drafting and production capabilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills involving geometry, area, volume, percentages, and algebra.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, manuals, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project teams, consultants, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Support project managers in managing timelines and budgets.
  • Assign and monitor project tasks.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications.
  • Produce plans, elevations, sections, and related documentation.
  • Assist with design development as needed.
  • Apply building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure construction documents comply with applicable requirements.
  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in site visits and meetings.
  • Review submittments and respond to RFIs.
  • Support construction contract administration activities.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
  • Manage project documentation and production workflows.
