About The Position

Lionakis is seeking an experienced Job Captain to join its Healthcare team in the Sacramento office. The team works on projects ranging from medical and health facilities to specialty clinics. The Job Captain brings a thorough understanding of building systems, codes, and standards related to assigned projects and collaborates with internal staff, studio and firm management, and external contacts. The role involves projects of varying sizes and complexity, with a focus on healthcare design and project delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
At least 6 years of architectural project experience.
Proficiency with BIM/Revit software programs, MS Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
Prior experience with healthcare projects.

Nice To Haves

OSHPD/HCAI experience.
LEED accreditation.
Familiarity with alarm system design and coordination and its integration into healthcare facility design.

Responsibilities

Lead the production and coordination of construction documents, ensuring alignment with healthcare codes, standards, and consultant work.
Collaborate with project architects to resolve design, program, and regulatory requirements, including OSHPD/HCAI and agency approvals.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors across project phases to maintain project continuity.
Support development of bid and construction packages and assist with construction administration activities.
Track and communicate impacts to scope, budget, schedule, and risk, including changes driven by clients or consultants.
Contribute to project planning, enforce QA/QC standards, and ensure compliance with firm and healthcare design protocols.
Delegate tasks, mentor junior staff, and support team deliverables, presentations, and multi-project workflows.
