We are looking for experienced metal fabricators that can do metal core flat and horizontal GMAW. Aspen is looking for new team members to add to our growing workforce. We continue to grow and have many openings. Apprentices wanting to become Welder / Fitters are welcome to apply. Two shifts available. Shift premiums. Requirements

Alberta Journeyman Metal Fabricator Fitter Ticket or Red Seal Certification
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Numerical conversions required.
Plan the sequence of tasks and decide how to cut the steel most efficiently.
Determine the materials required and obtain them from stock.
Develop and/or mark patterns if required.
Use metal-working machines and cutting torches to cut steel, drill or punch holes, and roll.
Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units.
Fasten components together.
Ability to use welding and fabrication tools.
Quality assurance and control.
Ensures effective equipment maintenance, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Build and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
Ensure that the overhead crane is used in a safe manner.
