This role involves supporting and maintaining both self-hosted and Atlassian Cloud (SaaS) environments, with a focus on migration readiness and hybrid expertise. The administrator will manage user permissions, projects, workflows, schemes, plugins, and integrations within Jira. For Confluence, responsibilities include administering spaces, templates, macros, and managing permissions and integrations. A key aspect of the role is ensuring system reliability, uptime, performance, and backups. The position also supports the transition to or coexistence with Atlassian Cloud, including user provisioning, SSO integration (Okta, Azure AD), and cloud-based app support. Additionally, the role focuses on process automation and tooling, implementing best practices for issue tracking, agile boards, SLAs, and project templates, and integrating Jira/Confluence with other tools like Azure DevOps. Customization of apps such as ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, and Insight/Assets is expected, along with building lightweight automations and integrations using REST API, Groovy, and automation rules. The administrator will also provide user and service support through service desk tickets, user training, and documentation. Collaboration with stakeholders from Engineering, Security, and Operations is essential, contributing to internal projects like access automation and policy implementations, and assisting with other tools under the Enterprise Operations scope.
