About The Position

Applying knowledge of engineering principles, theories, concepts, industry practices, and standards to define, measure, and manage the engineering quality requirements for A320 Family aircraft assembly jigs, tools, and engineering equipment at the Final Assembly Line (FAL). Engineering and defining Quality Assurance (QA) requirements in the technical specifications for Airbus’ custom engineering tooling and equipment, coordinating QA measures with engineering jigs and tools suppliers while monitoring their implementation, and participating in the pre-development engineering phase in the creation of new production concepts. Engineering and defining new test characteristics, making comparisons of new means of production with relevant engineering requirements, and carrying out engineering tests and at the manufacturer. Coordinating and conducting engineering tests for the commissioning of production and assembly lines and engineering and accepting the testing of small jigs. Participating in supplier evaluation and evaluating suppliers from an engineering standpoint. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 3 years in any job title involving experience in quality assurance in an aircraft manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of Experience implementing and utilizing measurement systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles in the aircraft manufacturing environment
  • Analyzing system or tooling function
  • Experience with root cause analysis of equipment failure
  • Experience in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and assembly systems
  • Developing and managing quality requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel required for supplier inspections, training, and workshops.
