About The Position

Fred Meyer Jewelers sales professionals create an approachable, special, and lasting fine-jewelry experience. They help customers celebrate meaningful moments, make jewelry products relevant and accessible, and contribute to personal and store sales goals. The company provides training in sales techniques, product knowledge, and skills. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Commitment to excellence, desire to grow, and ability to provide a refreshing shopping experience.
Goal-oriented, sales-driven, and passionate about succeeding.
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a drug test.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Model Customer 1st behavior and deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
Achieve personal sales targets, including credit applications and protection plan attachment rates.
Promote Diamond Parties and special events to customers.
Work with teammates toward store goals and support a positive, collaborative working atmosphere.
Build lasting emotional connections with customers through clienteling.
Present merchandise and explain product knowledge, features, and benefits.
Advise customers about jewelry and gem quality, cuts, and value, and help select gem mountings or settings.
Attend required monthly meetings.
Operate the point-of-sale system and take payment or obtain credit authorization.
Inspect and clean customers' jewelry.
Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs.
Replace watch batteries and adjust watch bands.
Follow receiving and processing procedures.
Display merchandise and promotional materials according to corporate merchandising plans.
Perform business opening and closing procedures according to the Policy and Procedures Guide.
Perform basic housekeeping, including vacuuming carpets, cleaning display surfaces and merchandise, and washing windows.
Maintain location safety and security by following Loss Prevention and Security policies and procedures.
Participate in inventory processes and complete case counts.
Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
