About The Position

Under direction from the Jewelry Selling Manager, the Jewelry Operations Associate supports operational functions of the Jewelry Department. The role includes receiving and processing merchandise, returns, transfers, and repairs; organizing trunk shows; performing case counts and inventory maintenance; and communicating with the Corporate Buying Team. The associate may also assist the selling team and take on other store initiatives or ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to quickly learn systems, jewelry standards, and IT applications.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, and properly book jewelry in accordance with company standards, including photocopying fine jewelry and reconciling purchase order issues with the buying office.
Enter received merchandise into the case count system.
Retrieve and process merchandise for vendor returns or transfers, pack it properly, and obtain tracking numbers for outbound shipments.
Maintain a repair log, check merchandise in and out, and track repairs sent to vendors or local shops.
Submit repair invoices and supporting documentation to Accounts Payable.
Receive trunk show merchandise and verify piece counts and condition against the manifest.
Assist with trunk show setup and take-down, compile results, and recap trunk show business.
Complete case counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Reticket merchandise that lacks tickets or has unreadable tags.
Prepare special order requests and submit them to buyers.
Assist the Selling Manager and associates on the selling floor as necessary.
Ensure the department is stocked with supplies.
Support other store initiatives and ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by management.
