About The Position

Slicker Recycling is seeking a Jet Vac Vehicle Driver Operator to join their team. This role involves driving and operating specialist Jet Vac Tankers to service clients such as Petrol Forecourts, Distribution Depots, and Auto Garages across the UK. The position requires working away from home, Monday to Friday, utilizing a sleeper cab. The role is a 48-hour contract with a basic hourly rate of £17.17, with overtime and overnight rates contributing to an estimated annual earning of around £50,000. Slicker Recycling is a market leader in sustainable resource solutions, committed to the circular economy and employing over 200 colleagues with a vast fleet of specialist vehicles.

Requirements

  • Driver CPC
  • Class 2 Driving Licence
  • Productive organisational focus
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to act on own initiative
  • Logical approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Knowledge of operations / H&S / scheduling practices
  • Excellent housekeeping

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate specialist Jet Vac Tankers to service client needs on planned and reactive bases across the UK.
  • Work in a manner that brings credit to Slicker Recycling by displaying punctuality, a presentable appearance, and being well-mannered, polite, and courteous to clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure all work carried out on site complies with company legal/licence requirements.
  • Complete, sign off, and accurately record all paperwork and site visit documentation in a fully compliant way.
  • Be prepared for occasional earlier starts or later finishes depending on job/client requirements.
  • Undertake overnight working on a rota basis to accommodate customer requirements.
  • Be part of the on-call rotation covering weekends (once trained/competent).
  • Work weekends from time to time to cover additional client requirements or backlog of works.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to working patterns to meet business needs.
  • Undertake any training required for the role provided by the business.
