About The Position

Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as an IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) - Finance. This is a remote position. The IT Business Analyst, Finance and Homebuilding, is responsible for the support, enhancement, and implementation of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) applications within a homebuilding environment, along with the suite of supporting applications that comprise the JDE portfolio. This role serves as a primary point of support for end users and as a subject matter expert on JDE functionality, including Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Job Cost, and Homebuilder modules. The IT Business Analyst combines strong technical and data acumen with the ability to synthesize complex business problems and processes into clear requirements, actionable insights, and practical solutions. The role supports informed decision-making and successful project delivery by partnering closely with business stakeholders to analyze needs, resolve support tickets, gather and document requirements, map and improve business processes, and support the implementation, integration, and ongoing enhancement of the JDE Homebuilder system and related applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on JD Edwards.
  • In-depth knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne applications, primarily in Finance, Accounting and Job Cost and Homebuilder module.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel related to data manipulation.
  • Proven experience creating reports utilizing report writing tools or other relevant software.
  • Strong disposition for customer service supported by excellent interpersonal skills. Effective in person, phone, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather detailed requirements, and document business processes related to homebuilding operations.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of JDE solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices. Configure and customize JDE applications to meet specific homebuilding requirements.
  • Manage projects from inception through completion, including planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and status reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Provide day-to-day support for JDE applications, troubleshoot issues, and work with IT teams to resolve system problems. Act as the primary point of contact for JDE-related inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and technical teams. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process flows, system configuration guides, and user manuals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements. Stay current with industry trends, JDE updates, and homebuilding best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business users, IT teams, and external vendors. Conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders on project status, issues, and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports with ReportsNow, providing insights into business performance and system usage. Develop Orchestrations to enhance system functionality.
