About The Position

This position consists of running a blasting cabinet effectively. Blasting media will vary by cabinet. This position is responsible for blasting surfaces of different components to remove the original finish such as paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt. Then in Dryflux part of the position the Associate will check for cracks and holes and identify various non-conforming defects.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx. 8-10 hours).
• Ability to use handheld tools such as gauging equipment, grinders, sanders, air tools etc.
• Standing: Frequently
• Walking: Occasionally
• Sitting: Never
• Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally
• Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally
