About The Position
WICB is seeking a Jazz and Specialty Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This student role involves coordinating, training, and scheduling jazz and specialty show DJs, as well as managing the jazz and specialty show music library, including new music submissions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and a collaborative team player. The position requires attendance at weekly WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings.
Requirements
- Ability to coordinate, help train, and schedule jazz and specialty show DJs
- Ability to help catalog the jazz and specialty show music library (including fielding new music submissions)
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator both in-person and via email
- Ability to attend weekly WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings (Wednesdays at 6:30-7 p.m.)
- Has been a member of WICB for at least one semester
- Collaborative team player
