STUDENT-WICB Music Director ('26-'27)
About The Position
WICB is looking for a Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role involves communicating with music promoters, bands, and labels to ensure the delivery and receipt of new music to the station. The Music Director will also lead a weekly listening committee to select new music for the modern rock rotation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, a strong communicator both in-person and via email, and a collaborative team player. The position requires attendance at weekly WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings, held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7 p.m. Applicants must have been a member of WICB for at least one semester.
Requirements
- Comfortable communicating with music promoters, bands, and labels to ensure delivery and receipt of new music to the station
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator both in-person and via email
- Able to attend weekly WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings (Wednesdays at 6:30-7 p.m.)
