STUDENT-WICB Jazz and Specialty Music Director ('26-'27)
About The Position
WICB is seeking a Jazz and Specialty Music Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This student role involves coordinating, training, and scheduling jazz and specialty show DJs, as well as managing the music library, including new submissions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and a collaborative team player. They must be able to attend weekly WICB Executive Staff and General Staff meetings. This position is part of Ithaca College’s student employment program, which provides meaningful experiential learning opportunities to develop transferable skills and apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting, fostering personal and professional growth. Requirements
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Is a strong communicator both in-person and via email
- Has been a member of WICB for at least one semester
- Is a collaborative team player
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, help train, and schedule jazz and specialty show DJs
- Help catalog the jazz and specialty show music library (including fielding new music submissions)
- Attend weekly WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings (Wednesdays at 6:30-7 p.m.)
