About The Position

Accenture Flex is hiring a Java Spring Boot Developer for fixed-duration, project-based work. The developer will apply Java and backend engineering expertise to help transform client businesses and deliver innovative solutions. Work is performed onsite at a project in the employee’s local metro area, reducing or eliminating travel; this role may require travel to Vienna, Virginia, once monthly. The role involves building scalable, resilient, and secure backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The developer will work with cloud platforms, containerized deployments, relational databases, and Agile Scrum teams. Requirements

At least 6 years of hands-on Java development experience.
Strong knowledge of Java 17 or 21, object-oriented design, multithreading, collections, and design patterns.
Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
Experience building RESTful APIs and using API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI, with enterprise application integrations.
Cloud experience with Azure or AWS, including containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Database expertise with relational databases such as DB2, Oracle, and Azure SQL Server, including performance tuning of queries and services.
Strong experience working on Agile Scrum teams, including sprint planning, story refinement, code reviews, automated testing with JUnit and Mockito, and collaboration across product, QA, and architecture teams.
High school diploma or GED.
