About The Position

This is a Summer 2027 Java Software Engineering Internship position at Tradeweb. Interns will work with technologists and business experts to gain practical, hands-on experience. The program combines traditional classroom settings with project-based work, offering guidance from people at all levels and opportunities to build a professional network. The internship focuses on infrastructure teams responsible for building and modernizing core systems for Tradeweb Direct’s electronic bond trading platform, moving critical logic into reliable Java services, and maintaining system health. Interns will contribute to building across the stack, modernizing legacy systems, deploying and supporting services, investigating reliability issues, and exploring AI applications.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of modern software languages – C, C++, Java, Python.
  • Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • A passion for technology.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Java.
  • Understanding of SQL / relational databases.
  • Exposure to AI through coursework or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • A background or interest in building large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications is desired.
