About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Java Software Engineer. This is a Full Time – Contract position with a duration of 6+ Months, located in Irving, TX (Hybrid). As a Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React. You will build and support REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions. A key part of this role involves contributing to the modernization and consolidation of multiple existing applications into a unified platform, as well as stabilizing and improving front-end applications using React and modern UI development practices. You will also develop and maintain automation, data processing, and integration components using Python. Collaboration with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and distributed Agile teams is essential to deliver high-quality software. The role includes participating in code reviews and promoting best practices around secure coding, performance optimization, and application reliability. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and support cloud adoption initiatives, contributing to the team's growing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities. Additionally, you will assist with troubleshooting, defect resolution, and application support activities.

Requirements

Experience with Java Spring Boot
Experience with REST APIs
Experience with Microservices architecture
Experience with React.js and modern front-end development frameworks.
Experience building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
Understanding of software design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization.
Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience building cloud-native applications and services on GCP.
Exposure to AI/ML services and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or containerized application deployments.
Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.
Understanding of data pipelines and ETL development.
Experience supporting application modernization and platform consolidation initiatives.
