About The Position

Remote Java Lead role focused on hands-on enterprise-level J2EE web application development and support. The position involves developing and supporting microservices and micro-frontend applications, working with Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and cloud technologies, and evaluating SaaS and MarTech products and integrations for organizational suitability. The role also includes troubleshooting, issue ownership, collaboration across teams, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of development experience in Java web or enterprise projects.
• Experience with Java 1.8, Java EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and other Java frameworks or open-source libraries.
• Experience with ReactJS, microservices, cloud technologies, and micro-frontend applications.
• Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
• Experience with at least one of the listed MarTech integration products or platforms.
• Experience with database applications such as Oracle and MySQL, and ORM tools.
• Experience with Bitbucket.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience using Python scripts and Unix commands.
• Experience using New Relic and Splunk.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Good presentation skills and excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with MarTech products and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, BlueConic, Dynamic Yield, Kevel, digital asset management (DAM), CMS/UCM, CRM, tagging management, and email service provider solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support enterprise-level J2EE web applications.
• Analyze vendor-provided SaaS products, tools, and APIs, and conduct hands-on research and development with them.
• Assess whether vendor products and tools are viable and suitable for organizational needs.
• Design, develop, and unit test microservices and micro-frontend applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications and integrations.
• Work within an Agile methodology.
• Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring to junior team members.
• Maintain ownership of issues through resolution, coordinate with other teams as needed, and set customer expectations.
• Deliver presentations and communicate effectively.
