Java fullstack developer with PL/SQL and Kafka
About The Position
The Infosys Financial Services unit delivers digital transformation solutions for financial institutions using technologies including AI, cloud, and data-led innovation. The Technology Consultant 2 will contribute to software development and support across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, and production support. The role includes building and troubleshooting Java full-stack components in a production environment and integrating features into existing applications while maintaining system stability. The position involves documenting business requirements and design decisions, participating in coding and code reviews, maintaining code repositories, implementing test strategies, coordinating bug fixes, and supporting application transitions through training, documentation, and support frameworks. The developer will also resolve production issues, recommend preventive measures, and maintain records of code, testing, and support activities. The role works with cross-functional teams and may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and troubleshooting Java full-stack components in a production environment.
- Experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
- Experience with Apache Kafka.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Document assigned portions of business requirements as part of requirements elicitation.
- Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
- Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
- Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to maintain software quality.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transitions to new software applications.
- Participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for the knowledge base and similar projects.
- Contribute across end-to-end SDLC phases, from requirements gathering through implementation.
- Work with cross-functional teams and perform software integration.
