About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to join their team. This role involves supporting application modernization and technical debt remediation initiatives across enterprise platforms and services. The developer will be responsible for developing Java and Spring Boot applications, migrating from legacy middleware technologies, and building/enhancing Angular-based web applications. The position also includes assisting with WebSphere migration, Tomcat deployment, environment configuration, developing and maintaining REST APIs, working with senior engineers on code optimization and performance improvements, supporting build automation and deployment validation, participating in Agile activities, resolving application defects, and maintaining technical documentation. The candidate will join a motivated team focused on innovative solutions and modernization of customer-facing applications within the investment platforms of Workplace Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support application modernization and technical debt remediation initiatives across enterprise platforms and services.
  • Develop Java and Spring Boot applications while supporting migration from legacy middleware technologies.
  • Build and enhance Angular-based web applications using TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Assist with WebSphere migration, Tomcat deployment, and environment configuration efforts.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and integration services supporting enterprise business processes.
  • Work closely with senior engineers on application remediation, code optimization, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Support build automation, deployment validation, and production stabilization activities.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, sprint execution, and retrospective activities.
  • Identify and resolve application defects and technical issues in development and production environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
