About The Position

DSS is seeking a Java Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain complex end-to-end web applications using Java, JEE, and JSF. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, including maintaining and upgrading software after deployment and managing the production life cycle of software and applications.

The developer will build scalable microservices with Spring Boot and event-driven patterns, following cloud-native development principles. The role also involves developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and service-oriented integrations, with attention to performance, reliability, and secure design using OAuth2, JWT, and encryption standards. The developer will work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and automation tooling, and will develop Oracle SQL scripts and use persistence frameworks. The position is onsite in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and is listed for a 12-month duration.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of Java experience.
• At least 10 years of J2EE experience, including EJB and JSF.
• At least 5 years of Python experience.
• At least 10 years of Spring and Spring Boot experience.
• At least 8 years of GitHub and CI/CD experience.
• At least 10 years of Oracle SQL experience.
• At least 10 years of WebSphere Application Server or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing Oracle SQL scripts and knowledge of persistence frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex full-stack application systems across the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain and upgrade software following deployment.
• Manage the end-to-end life cycle for producing software and applications.
