About The Position

Unissant, Inc. is seeking a Java Engineer to join its team and support a client. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable enterprise applications and services. The engineer will work with Java 25 or later, Spring Boot and Spring Frameworks, Spring Data JPA and Hibernate, Node.js and JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js), Python, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker. The role also involves applying AI-assisted development in production systems and incorporating evidence-based verification, application security, and context-aware development throughout the software development lifecycle. The engineer will develop and execute unit and end-to-end tests, troubleshoot complex application, integration, deployment, and production issues, and implement corrective actions. They will collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders; identify and mitigate technical risks and blockers; and manage competing priorities while meeting delivery, quality, and security commitments. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person participation potentially directed or approved by the client for program events. A Public Trust clearance must be obtained and maintained. A bachelor's degree is required, and candidates will undergo pre-employment screening.
