About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Java Engineer position for our client. This is an ongoing contract role located in Phoenix, AZ. The Java Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Java applications and services. This includes developing and maintaining RESTful web services and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot, collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing clean and maintainable code, and working with Kotlin and PostgreSQL/Postgres databases. The role also involves troubleshooting, debugging, participating in code reviews, testing, deployment, and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications and services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established development standards.
• Develop and maintain applications using Kotlin as needed.
• Work with PostgreSQL/Postgres databases, including data modeling, queries, and application integration.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing application support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technical solutions.
