About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role involves refactoring and migrating existing on-premise Java applications to a modern, cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java/J2EE and strong skills in Oracle Database optimization and migration to ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure in a cloud environment.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development
Deep understanding of Oracle Database, including advanced SQL, PL/SQL, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
Proven track record of participating in or leading application migration projects from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks for building microservices
Extensive experience in developing and consuming secure RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI) and containerization tools (Docker)

Responsibilities

Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure in a cloud environment
