About The Position
We are looking for a talented Java Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, working in a modern microservices architecture. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable applications. Requirements
- Proven experience in Java backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Docker containers and OpenShift.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with React development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and containerized deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.).
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Participate in the design, optimization, and maintenance of PostgreSQL database models.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications running on OpenShift.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers working with React to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality standards.
- Develop and execute unit tests and support continuous integration practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and proactively improve application performance, scalability, and security.
- Work collaboratively within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
