Requirements

• Proven experience in application modernization, specifically transitioning existing applications to a modern architecture based on Spring Boot and Java 17+.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within the Banking/Financial industry.
• Strong technical background in Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem.
• Expertise in relational databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL).

Nice To Haves

• Legacy migration experience (transitioning from Java EE, JSF, Struts, etc.).
• Implementation of Spring Security using JWT and OAuth2.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms such as Anthos or GKE.
• Advanced Oral English.
• Advanced Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 17+ (with a mindset for future versions like Java 25).
• Architect and build services using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement REST APIs to ensure high-performance communication between services.
• Manage data persistence using JPA and Hibernate across various databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL).
• Oversee version control using Git and implement robust log and error management practices.
• Integrate backend services with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
