About The Position

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join our SeaTac-based IT team. This role is ideal for a developer with 4+ years of hands-on Java experience who enjoys building practical software, solving business problems, and working in a collaborative team environment. In this role, you’ll design, develop, test, implement, and support Java-based applications, integrations, APIs, and services for Lynden’s freight management systems. This is a hybrid position after training, with 2 days onsite in SeaTac and 3 days remote. This position is non-safety sensitive and requires ongoing authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience in a business environment.
Hands-on experience developing Java 17+ applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
Served as the developer to build and deploy cloud-native applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and source control best practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Java-based applications, integrations, APIs, and services throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure delivery of high-quality software through clean, maintainable code, unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to established development, security, and change management standards.
Analyze project requirements, the existing environment, available technology, and develop recommendations for appropriate technology solutions.
Work closely with customers, business analysts, and other developers to understand business requirements and deliver quality, cost-effective technical solutions that align with business objectives, IT strategy, and architectural standards.
Participate in application and data architecture discussions and make recommendations regarding new development, system enhancements, technology adoption, and buy-versus-build decisions.
Provide training and post-installation support for customers, coworkers, and other IT support personnel.
Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production support incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
