About The Position
The Technology Consultant 2 will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, deployment support, and maintenance. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices, integrating features into existing applications, and working with Angular and JavaScript on Azure cloud infrastructure. The developer will help maintain application stability and quality through code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, production support, and documentation. The position is part of Infosys’s Manufacturing unit, which delivers digital solutions for clients in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Manufacturing sectors. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys states it cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable microservices using Java 8/11 and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Angular and JavaScript.
- Experience deploying applications on Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, and Azure SQL.
- Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle end-to-end SDLC phases, from requirements gathering to implementation.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
- Hands-on coding experience and interest in software design.
- Proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and refining applications.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and perform software integration.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel to the work or project location if required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Angular 12+ and modern JavaScript or TypeScript development.
- Basic knowledge of Generative AI concepts and exposure to integrating Azure OpenAI or Azure AI services with enterprise applications.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned portions of business requirements under guidance.
- Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
- Participate in coding and integrate features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
- Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to help users transition to new software applications.
- Help resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for the knowledge base and future projects.
- Develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java 8/11 and Spring Boot, with Angular and JavaScript, deployed on Azure.
- Work through SDLC phases from requirements gathering to implementation and participate in software integration.
- Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality and shared best practices.
