About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Architect to join our team in Plano, TX. This is an onsite position requiring local candidates from Texas. The role involves leading application re-architecture initiatives, moving from monolithic to microservice and event-driven architectures. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architect team and provide technical support to the development team, ensuring alignment with business requirements and architectural goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
Previous work experience as a software or Java architect.
Advanced knowledge of software architecture.
Proficiency with Java, Java Beans, Java Servlets, and JavaScript.
Proficiency with Spring Boot, Kafka, APIGEE Management.
Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.
Experience with software design and web programming.
High-level project management skills.
Ability to solve complex software system issues.
Good communication skills.
Experience in Agile Methodology.

Nice To Haves

15+ years of experience as a Java Architect.
Experience with HCL.
H1B with PP number.

Responsibilities

Lead application re-architecture (App Modernization) by moving Monolithic to Microservice Architecture and Even Driven based Application Architecture in Java.
Design and implement solutions using Messaging (Kafka, Camunda) and APIGEE Management with various use case designs.
Design solutions and review architecture with the Enterprise Architect Team.
Design High Level and Low Level Architecture on Microservices.
Design scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.
Provide Technical Support for the Development Team.
Align with Product Owners / Technology managers for the Business Requirements.
Examine and define current architecture systems.
Identify the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the company’s architectural goals.
Troubleshoot design flaws and system bottlenecks.
Perform validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment.
Assist the software design team with application integration.
Review System Performance tests and provide recommendations / guidance.
