About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Japanese Teacher for online, one-to-one general Japanese lessons. The client is located in the US and requires lessons twice a week, ideally on Mondays and Wednesdays, for a total of 30 hours. The student is an elementary level learner, aged 25-34, motivated to maintain a conversational level of Japanese. The position is freelance and part-time, with a negotiable hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. The schedule and location may be flexible.
Requirements
- Native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of the specified location (19422).
- Submit CV with references (if available).
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
- Meet the stated conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide online, one-to-one general Japanese lessons.
- Adapt teaching to meet the student's motivation of maintaining a conversational level of Japanese.
- Conduct lessons twice per week for a total of 30 hours.
- Be available for lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays, or as otherwise agreed upon.
