Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide Japanese language and cultural enrichment services for K–12 students. These are potential assignments, not employee positions. Contractors may choose whether to apply for, accept, decline, or ignore available opportunities. Assignments vary by partner school, grade level, schedule, curriculum, resources, technology, and program objectives. Contractors may plan and facilitate age-appropriate Japanese language sessions, introduce foundational vocabulary and cultural topics, and adapt instruction to students’ experience levels and assignment requirements. Sessions may support speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, and cultural understanding through activities such as games, discussions, projects, storytelling, and role-play. Contractors are expected to maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, age-appropriate learning environment, communicate assignment-related needs or significant concerns as appropriate, complete a brief session completion form after each scheduled session, and follow site procedures. Assignments are on-site at partner schools and conducted in person. They typically involve 1–4 instructional service hours per week after school and commonly last approximately 10 weeks, though details vary. Opportunities become available throughout the school year. Compensation varies by assignment and agreed contractor terms; many opportunities pay $50 or more per completed instructional service hour, with a stated range of $50–$100 per hour. Contractors may propose a rate, and Concorde may accept it, decline the application, or make a counteroffer. Unless otherwise approved in writing, compensation is based on completed instructional hours with students. Payment is generally made by direct deposit on the fifteenth day of the month following the month services were completed, subject to the accepted assignment terms and applicable law. Assignments may use school-provided curriculum resources, lesson plans, books, games, presentation materials, Chromebooks, web-based language platforms, audio and video resources, and other instructional materials. Contractors may use their own methods and materials when appropriate and consistent with the assignment scope and site requirements. Purchases for which reimbursement is sought must be approved in writing by Concorde in advance. Applicants selected to move forward may be invited to create a contractor profile and complete onboarding. Applying or completing onboarding does not guarantee selection, placement, or future assignments. Assignments are subject to fit, agreed compensation, required onboarding, applicable background-check review and clearance procedures, site-specific requirements, and final written confirmation. Concorde considers contractor applicants without regard to protected status and is committed to respectful, inclusive, student-centered programming.
