About The Position

This role is responsible for keeping common areas of the store clean and serviceable for customers and associates. The position works in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions. Travel requirements vary by assignment. The associate may also be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
Must be able to work in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Dust shelves and fixtures, clean windows, and sweep or vacuum as needed.
Assist with bottle room machine maintenance, empty full bins, and return bins.
Clean bathrooms daily by sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, and refilling paper toiletries.
Sanitize shopping carts.
Keep the cart return area clean and return left-behind items to shelves.
Sweep sidewalks free of clutter, trash, and debris; remove ice or snow during colder temperatures as needed.
Use brooms, mops, a floor scrubber, dusters, and general store cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Empty trash cans inside and outside as needed.
Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
