About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring common areas of the store are clean and serviceable for customers and associates. The associate performs cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the store, including restrooms, shopping carts, cart returns, sidewalks, and trash areas. The position follows personal protective equipment and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines. Tasks in other departments may be assigned based on customer experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
Good customer service and organizational skills; detail oriented.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Responsibilities

Dust shelves and fixtures, clean windows, and sweep or vacuum as needed.
Assist with bottle room machine maintenance, empty full bins, and return bins.
Clean bathrooms daily by sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, and refilling paper toiletries.
Sanitize shopping carts.
Maintain the cart return area and return left-behind items to shelves.
Sweep sidewalks free of clutter, trash, and debris; remove ice and snow as needed during colder temperatures.
Use brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, dusters, and general store cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Empty indoor and outdoor trash cans as needed.
Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
