About The Position
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven Janitorial Technician in Gainesville, GA. This role is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds, as well as managing supplies. LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving over 150 hospitals across multiple states, dedicated to meeting the blood supply needs of patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
- Ability to use various floor care machines and other electronic equipment necessary to facilitate daily cleaning and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Nice To Haves
- Two years of facilities experience
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including the daily and overall upkeep of all assigned areas
Responsibilities
- Inspect company facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas
- Make repair and maintenance recommendations to the Regional Manager
- Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility, ensuring all work performed by the vendor is properly completed and appropriately billed
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving and expensing activities of the district
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile inventory in the region
- Prepare supplies needed for blood drives
- Perform inspection of vehicles and provide cleaning as needed
