Janitorial Technician Part Time - Daytime
About The Position
ServiceMaster of Kalamazoo is seeking a Janitorial Technician to join their team. This part-time, daytime position is ideal for individuals looking for additional income that complements their current schedule. The role involves creating cleaner and healthier environments for customers by performing various cleaning duties. The company has a long history, serving the Kalamazoo area for over 70 years. On-the-job training is provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Requirements
- The ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is a must.
- Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and support the team by being in uniform, reliable, dependable, and on time.
- Demonstrates respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.
- Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 25lbs.
- Ability to read cleaning instructions
- Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
- Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures
- Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, vacuuming, moving furniture and equipment, etc.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Use of proper PPE where required.
- Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as required.
