About The Position

As our Janitorial Technician, you’ll perform routine custodial duties to help keep the interior and exterior of our new facility and its grounds tidy and safe, working behind the scenes with our Environmental & Health and Safety teams! You’ll make an immediate impact on the overall safety of our operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and retain a company-provided forklift certification
  • Ability to pass and retain a DOT background check
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and other necessary equipment
  • Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  • Use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  • Visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  • Distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • 1+ year of previous janitorial experience

Responsibilities

  • Emptying trash containers, and disposing of trash in compactors/ dumpsters
  • Performing cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements
  • Operating the floor scrubber and forklift
  • Assisting with daily clean up in all areas and reactive to unplanned spills
  • May assist with very light maintenance tasks, which could include but are not limited to replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture for meetings, painting, or other similar activities
  • Assisting with vendor activities such as meeting with vendors to facilitate service
  • Performing weekly, and monthly checks on equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, eyewashes, etc.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Driving vehicles required to perform errands as needed to stores like Ace Hardware or Lowe’s
