About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues, keeping our client’s facility running smoothly all the time. This role involves performing housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition. The Janitorial Technician will also be responsible for removing trash, floor care (stripping, waxing, burnishing, cleaning, and scrubbing), assisting with minor facility service repairs, and maintaining personal tools. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines, compliance with company regulations, and effective communication with team members. Accurate administrative duties such as time accounting and work order completion are also expected.

Requirements

Must be able to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
Must be able to use hand tools and cleaning machinery on a daily basis such as floor sweepers and brooms.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Must maintain personal tools required for your job.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Communication/ Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
Remove trash from offices and other work areas.
Perform stripping and waxing of floors, burnishing waxed floors, cleaning and maintaining carpeted floors, and floor scrubbing of ceramic tile floors.
Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair.
Follow established routines and perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Use hand tools and cleaning machinery such as floor sweepers and brooms.
Comply with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with all team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning in support of the company’s goals and objectives.
Maintain personal tools required for the job.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy.
