About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues—keeping our client’s facility running smoothly all the time. This role is for a Janitorial Technician in Dayton, OH, with a salary of up to $20.00/hr and hours from Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

Must be able to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
"Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Two years’ experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable.
Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Communication/ Expression —The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
Remove trash from offices and other work areas.
Strip and wax floors, burnish waxed floors, clean and maintain carpeted floors, and scrub ceramic tile floors.
Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repairs.
Follow established routines and perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Use hand tools and cleaning machinery such as floor sweepers and brooms daily.
Comply with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with all team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning in support of company goals and objectives.
Maintain personal tools required for the job.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
