About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including interior and exterior areas. The Janitorial Tech ensures that all cleaning programs and documentation are up to standard, manages trash and recycling, and completes work orders for necessary repairs. Adherence to plant safety rules and OSHA regulations is paramount, including safe lifting practices and machine operation safety. The position involves exposure to food allergens and may require additional overtime.

Requirements

Ability to read, speak and write in English.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) plant safety and OSHA requirements.
Proven success with working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse or housekeeping experience preferred.
Excellent communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

Ensures facility cleaning, programs and documentation are met according to guidelines
Ensures that the facility is clean, trash is managed and all cleaning is documented.
Ensures the cleanliness of the plant exterior (associate entrance, docks, dumpster areas, associate break area) and assuring trash is emptied on a timely basis
Responsible for the completion and submission of work orders for equipment and facility repairs.
Ensures emptying trash on a regular basis and following correct procedures for daily cardboard recycling.
Aware of MSDS sheets in the MSDS book for chemicals used in daily work by team.
Responsible for following Plant Safety Rules and OSHA Rules: understand and follow plant safety rules including/but not limited to safe lifting practices, safety on machine operations.
Other duties as assigned.
