About The Position

The maintenance position is vital to the cleanliness of the facility and the first impression made on guests. Team members clean, repair, and maintain the interior and exterior of the building, including kitchens, restrooms, floors, fixtures, storage areas, and the back dock. They safely operate equipment, use chemicals correctly, follow safety and sanitation procedures, and help deliver a positive guest experience. The role involves working in a noisy, fast-paced environment and may require work during days, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be friendly and able to smile while working.
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests and other team members.
Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
Must follow dress guidelines and maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Must be able to read and write handwritten notes.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to move around the facility and stand for long periods; walking or standing is required for 100% of the shift.
Must frequently reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep, and wipe.
Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
Must be available to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean, repair, and maintain the interior and exterior of the building.
Safely and correctly operate equipment and use chemicals in the proper quantities.
Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Control costs by avoiding overstocking and disposing of unused materials.
Clean and maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, and drains.
Maintain the cleanliness and stocking of maintenance storage areas.
Clean and maintain windows, lamps, mirrors, light fixtures, wood floors and walls, tile, and carpets.
Clean and sanitize restroom areas and restock supplies.
Dust wood surfaces and fixtures and polish brass plates, rails, and hardware.
Clean and maintain ceiling fans, air intakes, HVAC vents, and mats.
Empty trash and clean and maintain trash cans and the back dock area.
Keep the immediate supervisor informed of significant problems or unusual matters and take corrective action or suggest alternatives when appropriate.
Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with other team members.
