Requirements

• Typically requires 2 to 3 years of hands-on custodial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills to guide a team.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment (like floor buffers or extractors) and OSHA safety rules.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy supplies throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily cleaning duties, and train new or existing custodial personnel.
• Inspect completed work regularly to ensure adherence to company and health standards.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders when items run low.
• Enforce safety protocols, including the correct handling and dilution of industrial cleaning chemicals.
• Resolve staff conflicts, handle client complaints, and step in to clean during staff shortages.
