About The Position

The Supervisor at Southeast Airport Services, Inc. will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the staff, timely gathering of timecards, ordering of supplies, meeting the needs of clients, and providing janitorial work as needed. This role involves overseeing daily cleaning activities throughout airport facilities, including passenger terminals, restrooms, public areas, offices, gate areas, and high-traffic locations. The supervisor must ensure all assigned areas meet quality and cleanliness standards, perform inspections, identify opportunities for improvement, and respond quickly to customer requests and operational needs. Additionally, the role requires promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with airport policies, TSA/security requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety guidelines, while monitoring the proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE. The supervisor is also responsible for reporting safety hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English and Spanish, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate on radio.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance and janitorial work.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lead others and motivate people.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word plus Gmail, Google docs, Google calendar.
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to lift weights, to push, to walk, to bend.

  • Associate supervisor will attend monthly safety meetings and provide safety training when appropriate to staff and monitor the staff to ensure that PPEs are worn at all times and other protective measures are being taken.

  • Monitoring proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE.
  • Reporting safety hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns.
  • Attending monthly Safety Meetings and delivering Safety Training to employees.
  • Attending weekly operation meetings in Microsoft Teams with Corporate office.
  • Collecting timecards, reviewing timecards, reporting and approving payroll.
  • Tracking inventory of supplies and company equipment.
  • Conducting Site Safety / Quality Inspections (Equipment, MSDS, PPE, etc.).
  • Communicating with Operations Manager and Union representative regarding employee relations issues.
  • Providing clients with janitorial services (Floor care and other cleaning services as needed).
  • Inspecting staff employee’s appearance and work to ensure overall client satisfaction.
  • Managing supplies at each site and ensuring supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Reporting any issues with employees to the operations manager.
  • Hiring, Onboarding and Terminating employees in ADP system.
  • Producing monthly reports.
