About The Position

The Janitorial Services Technician cleans and maintains a VA clinic in Tilton, New Hampshire. The role includes cleaning clinic spaces and furnishings, sanitizing floors and restrooms, replenishing supplies, and keeping cleaning equipment and the supply room orderly. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with no weekend work and paid holidays. The listed salary is $28.42.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of janitorial experience.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• OSHA knowledge.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, reaching, lifting, and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean entrance doors, lobbies, reception areas, hallways, offices, group rooms, kitchens, and restrooms.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other clinic-provided supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and take cardboard to the dumpster.
• Sweep and mop hard floors using hospital-approved disinfectant; wax and buff floors as needed.
• Vacuum carpets and floor mats, and steam-clean or shampoo carpets as scheduled.
• Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, counters, toilets, and floors, as well as kitchen counters and sinks.
• Dust and clean desks, tables, cabinets, phones, shelves, picture frames, and light fixtures.
• Clean windows inside and outside, blinds, and other window coverings.
• Remove wall marks and cobwebs.
• Dust and vacuum heating and cooling vents.
• Vacuum fabric furniture and wipe down plastic and leather furniture.
• Keep cleaning tools and the supply room neat.
• Inform the supervisor when supplies are low or repairs are needed.
