About The Position

For over forty years, Maintenance, Inc. & Subsidiaries has developed and refined our procedures to provide the finest in personalized, professional cleaning while serving as stewards for your janitorial dollars. The manager/coordinator is responsible for daily contact with each of our customers to see if they have any complaints about our services. If there are such complaints, the manager/coordinator must make sure the problem is corrected by either correcting it himself/herself or by informing the supervisor so that the supervisor can correct it. The manager/coordinator surveys the buildings to verify that the cleaning is being done properly. If he/she finds any problems, the supervisor is notified. The manager monitors the hours worked at each building to keep the buildings within their budgeted hours. The manager/coordinator requisitions supplies needed at each building and sees that they get to the buildings. The manager coordinator solicits new business and additional business from existing customers. He/she will prepare bids to obtain the business. These are the main duties of this job. However, some aspects of the job may overlap into another. The duties and responsibilities of this job may be changed and/or additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time, at the Company's discretion. The Company's policy requiring regular attendance at work also applies to this job position. This job description will be reviewed periodically by the Company and may be revised at the Company's discretion.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English - Spanish)
  • Previously managed 10 or more employees.

Responsibilities

  • Contacts property manager daily to be advised of any problems with janitorial crew's work.
  • Surveys buildings to inspect cleaning.
  • Instructs crew of work needing done.
  • Requisitions supplies and delivers to buildings.
  • Solicits new business and prepares bids.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains new personnel.
  • Responds to emergencies in accounts.
  • Monitors the hours worked at each building to keep the buildings within their budgeted hours.
