About The Position

Marsden South is seeking a Janitorial Operations Manager to oversee the daily maintenance of facilities. This role involves managing a team, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence in cleaning and janitorial services across multiple work sites. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, staff development, and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Bilingual in two or more languages, with English being one of those languages.
  • A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license/good driving record.
  • Able to lift more than 30 lbs.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience in a mobile management role.
  • 2-5 years supervisory/management experience in a commercial cleaning or similar environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with strong overall computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to supervise 30+ employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance of facilities under the direction of the operational team and account manager.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services, taking corrective action.
  • Order and pick up janitorial supplies and equipment, take inventories, and perform audits.
  • Oversee, hire, and train new employees.
  • Fill in at locations if there is a call out.
  • Work with clients to ensure satisfaction with team performance.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers at multiple work sites engaged in janitorial services.
  • Assign janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
  • Confer with and coach staff to resolve production and personnel problems.
  • Train workers in janitorial methods and procedures and proper operation of equipment.
  • Issue janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Complete regular quality inspections of assigned accounts and act appropriately based on results.
  • Hold regular feedback conversations with staff to discuss performance and development goals.
  • Ensure all associates are properly trained at each assigned account with a focus on long-term retention.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees by enforcing the company’s safety, recognition, and training programs.
  • Maintain attendance records, track time and vacation, and assist with payroll duties.
  • Conduct interviews and collaborate with the Recruiter and Human Resources.
  • Handle administrative duties of assigned accounts, including timekeeping, payroll, setting up interviews, documentation of employee performance and safety, and maintaining inventory of necessary supplies.
