About The Position

Under general direction, the Janitorial Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring carpeted and hard-surface floors throughout the facility. The role requires expertise in using specialized floor-care equipment, applying industry best practices, and helping ensure a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of floor-care techniques for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor-care equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in floor care, janitorial work, or commercial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Clean, maintain, and care for tile, carpet, brick, and other floor types.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and care for floor-cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Observe safety protocols consistently, including using wet-floor signs and other precautions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Promptly report safety hazards or concerns.
