About The Position

Under general direction, the Janitorial Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring carpeted and hard-surface floors throughout the facility. The role involves using specialized floor-care equipment, applying industry best practices, and helping ensure a clean and safe environment. The position requires working independently with minimal supervision and completing assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

Knowledge of floor-care techniques for various surfaces.
Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor-care equipment.
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in floor care, janitorial work, or commercial cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality service and professionalism while upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
Clean, maintain, and care for floor types including tile, carpet, and brick.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Safely and properly operate, maintain, and care for floor-cleaning equipment.
Consistently observe safety protocols, including using wet-floor signs and other precautions.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Promptly report safety hazards or concerns.
