About The Position

Under general direction, the Janitorial Floor Tech will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all carpeted and hard surface flooring throughout the facility. This role requires expertise in operating specialized floor care equipment, applying industry best practices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus
Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of floor care equipment
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience with the following equipment: automatic scrubber, buffing machine, power washer, extraction machine, wet vacuum

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning

Responsibilities

Stripping and waxing floors
Carpet extraction
Carpet shampooing
Construction clean-up
Window cleaning
Operating and maintaining floor care equipment
Cleaning, maintaining, and caring for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick
Completing assigned tasks efficiently and on time
Following established procedures for the proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Observing safety protocols, including the use of "wet floor" signs and other precautions
Reporting any safety hazards or concerns immediately
